About Sampoorn
Sampoorn was formed and established in 2000 and registered in 2006 as a society (BLU-529-2006-2007). Sampoorn is the society for Crafts & Crafts People is a NGO and non-profit organization registered with Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, formed specially to encourage the Indian Heritage, Arts and Crafts from all over the country, especially the rural arts and crafts providing a platform to the artisans to showcase and promote the same.

Sampoorn is a voluntary,non-profit NGO,working in the crafts sector,for the promotion and development of crafts and the welfare of craftspersons. Sampoorn is involved in the areas of craft documentation, design and product development, marketing, training of craftspersons and upgradation of skills,tools and technology.

The society is in process of collecting, circulating the statistics and issuing the bulletin and circulars with respect to the handicrafts. The society conducts various workshops, Seminars, Hold craft bazaar's / Fair's / Mela's to promote and showcase the Indian Heritage Arts and Crafts.

Sampoorn is in process of adopting a cluster of artisans for the welfare and development works of Artisans involved in the field of handicrafts.

This society has 7 committee members. 450 Artisans and Craftsmen (Shilpi Guru's, National & State Awardee's) as it’s members.

Contribution and donation to the society are tax free since society has been granted certificate under u/s.12AA(a) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and u/s. 80G (5)(VI) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
